How to start a laptop without screen or keyboard.?

I have recently come into possession of a laptop that was destroyed by its previous owner. The screen was completely ripped from the hinges and the keyboard has fallen off as well. I have plugged it in to see if there was any chance of it running and I found myself successful hearing the sound of the fan and seeing power lights pop up. I suppose the person that tried destroying it only succeed in making it impractical. My question is if there is any way of getting it started up again. I have a monitor I can use to replace the detached screen and a few keyboards as well. Anyways I hope that it is possible for this computer to come back to life.
